A man from Charlestown, Rhode Island has been sentenced to seven years in prison for operating his motorcycle while drunk and causing an accident that took the life of his passenger.
According to court documents, Henry Lamb was sentenced Monday to 15 years for driving under the influence with seven years to serve and the remainder suspended. lamb pleaded no contest in April to driving under the influence, death resulting, and driving to endanger, death resulting. Prosecutors say the 22 year-old Lamb was driving drunk last July when he lost control of his motorcycle in Richmond while driving 55 miles per hour in a 25 mph zone.
Lamb’s passenger, 22 year-old Kimberly Barbera was died from her injuries the next day.
Lamb said in court that he wishes he could switch places with Barbera.
