Police have charged a 19 year-old woman with DUI after a single-vehicle rollover accident.
The woman rolled her car over in Barrington, Rhode Island, on the Wampanoag Trail by the Riverside line. The incident occurred some time around 1 a.m. Sunday morning. When emergency crews arrived, the fire department needed to use the jaws of life to remove her from her vehicle. Despite these measures, she was released from the hospital shortly after arriving there.
Police have officially charged her with DUI, but have not determined whether that means the cause of the accident could be attributed to drinking alcohol or taking prescription drugs. The woman is expected to appear before the Providence District Court on Wednesday.
Law enforcement officials are still investigating the exact cause of the incident.
