Real Housewives Star, Giudice, Appeals DUI Conviction

Joe Giudice, star of the reality television show ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey,’ will be in court Friday to appeal a drunk driving conviction.

Giudice was fined $864, had his drivers license revoked for one year and sentenced to 30 days of community service after being found guilty of driving while intoxicated on January 13, 2010. Giudice, who has four children, was fined an additional $236 for careless driving and failure to maintain a lane after he flipped is truck over at 1:47 a.m.

According to officials with the New Jersey State Police, Giudice had a blood alcohol content of 0.11 percent after flipping his truck, well above the legal limit of .08 percent. Court records indicate that Giudice’s drivers license was suspended for 9.4 years out of the last twenty. He had a total of 39 points on his license at the time of the accident.
